BioConsult SH (www.bioconsult-sh.de) headquartered in Husum on the North Sea coast, is an independent, interdisciplinary research and consulting company specializing in ecology. Since 1998, our international team of over 150 employees has been developing innovative, science-based solutions for sustainable coexistence between humans and nature.

We conduct environmental impact assessments, conservation strategies, and feasibility studies with the goal of resolving conflicts through objective, evidence-based approaches. 

Our Remote Sensing Department has a strong track record in digital aerial surveys for environmental monitoring. We are now taking the next step: establishing a new, forward-looking business field using low-emission long-range drones for large-scale ecological data collection at sea and on land.

To build and manage this business area, we are looking for a strategic, hands-on project manager with strong organizational skills and a passion for technical innovation. You will play a key role in shaping this new field from the ground up.

Your Responsibilities

• Set up and manage the new business area for long-range drone operations within the company
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects
• Liaise with clients, authorities, airports, project partners, and internal departments (e.g., QHSE, Operations, Drone Pilot Team)
• Oversee the development of safety-relevant documents and operational procedures
• Learn and apply aviation-specific and legal requirements (e.g., permitting processes)
• Support business development, client acquisition, proposal writing, marketing, and sales

Your Profile

• Solid experience in project management and team coordination
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with aviation regulations and permitting processes
• Proven track record in independently managing complex projects
• Strategic mindset with a high level of personal responsibility
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written
• Structured, self-motivated, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Technical understanding and interest in innovative environmental technologies
• Experience or interest in marketing, product development, or sales

Additional Qualifications (a plus)

• Knowledge of aviation or drone technologies
• Experience with start-up processes or innovation management
• Familiarity with UAS operations, permitting or aviation law
