As the Personal Assistant to our Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), you will hold a key position within PlanBlue’s leadership team. Your role will be central to ensuring the efficient and effective execution of our CSO's responsibilities. Your work will be highly valued by both our CSO and the entire team as it is integral to realizing our organizational objectives. Your commitment will help streamline processes, enhance productivity, and contribute substantially to our continuous growth and success.

Our Technology

We are revolutionizing seafloor mapping by integrating underwater hyperspectral imaging with AI-driven automated data processing. This powerful combination allows us to map the seafloor with unprecedented speed, efficiency, and detail. By ground-truthing aerial and satellite imagery, we facilitate the global unlocking of blue nature-based solutions, thereby uncovering the seafloor’s economic and ecological value.

Our Team

Over the past couple of years, our diverse team has steadily grown to 25+ people, including engineers, software developers, product and visual designers, marine scientists, and data scientists. We believe it’s key to further expand our business team, which you will be a part of, to scale PlanBlue whilst keeping a close connection to our customers and partners.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will manage our CSO's communication, ensuring timely and eloquent correspondence with customers, partners, supporters, and suppliers, utilizing excellent English and German language skills. Your responsibility will extend to overseeing important company matters, leveraging your people skills to ensure tasks are completed, while also conducting research to identify key individuals and events that will contribute to the company’s commercial success. You will be in charge of documenting and filing the details of significant meetings and negotiations led by our CSO, maintaining an organized record for the company. Additionally, you will handle our CSO's meeting requests, managing her schedule, and providing occasional assistance with personal matters to support her family life.

What you'll be doing

  • time management: Managing our CSO’s busy schedule efficiently, including professional and personal commitments, ensuring balance and structure.
  • discretion and professionalism: Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of the role, representing our CSO effectively to external contacts.
  • flexibility: Adapting to the varying needs and demands of the role, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.

What we hope you bring

  • Excellent language skills in both English (C2-equivalent or native speaker) and German (C1-equivalent or above).
  • Experience as a Personal Assistant or in project management, holding a completed master's or diploma degree in business administration, business informatics, in the natural sciences or any other field related to our company's focus.
  • Excellent analytical thinking with a proven ability to establish relationships quickly and reliably, paired with in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Robust communication, presentation, and moderation skills, with the capacity to handle complex issues efficiently under time pressure.
  • Good team skills and social competence, maintaining effective virtual and intercultural communications, and cross-departmental networking within the group.
  • High initiative, independence, loyalty, and resilience with exceptional planning and organizational skills for autonomous working conditions, having the ability to lead and adapt to rapid changes.
  • An affinity for the ocean, identifying with PlanBlue's mission.
